Tribute

As I conclude this paper, I smile, reflecting on how enjoyable the process of telling of these stories has been, then I reflect back on my father’s bedtime stories, how they started, it feels as if I understand the begrudging duty of the tasks at hand, maybe there is a bedtime on the horizon,

 

‘Life at the computer was very hard. There were plans to hatch, concepts to nurture, ideas to formulate, writing to pen, maps to design, photos to prep, paragraphs to proof, text to edit, citations to log, footnotes to add, revisions to make, layouts to format, spelling to check…’ 

 

If uncle Steve could witness my classes, he would approve that…

1.    …we use a Sony A7R3 for our yearbook class, with it we shoot the highest quality photos and videos available to any students in the VSB.

2.    …my shop class is a high-performing technological hub of advanced gear.

3.    …I play Russian hip hop and the Red Army choir for my students.

4.    …I use a Russian accent to get my students in line when required.

5.    …I promote Russian culture with strength and humour.

6.    …I teach that work ethic comes first.

7.    …I am planning to take students on trips to Russia just as he did for us.

1.    …I entertain my students with good stories.

2.    …my students love my good nature and tolerant approach.

3.    …I do my best to model creative genius.

4.    …I try to know exactly what it is that I am talking about.

5.    …I accept all comers as equals regardless of their crimes.

7.    …I use a vocabulary which constantly expands my students’ lexicons.
